I tried installing Pro Tools 10 as well and got the same crashing. From there I would have to select "startup repair" which would seem to act as a sort of system restore - when it successfully boots up again my computer would not have Pro Tools or the iLok License Manager/PACE installed anymore but everything else would be intact.Īt this point I was very scared that Pro Tools 11 wouldn't work on my PC, but my previous Windows 10 laptop ran it just fine so I was very confused. It would repeatedly crash on the "dots spinning in a circle" startup screen, turn into "attempting repairs," and then bring me to the boot recovery menu. Every time I would run the PT11 installer, when it asked for a reboot after the install completed, my computer would not boot back up. I couldn't install Pro Tools 11 on my brand new Windows 10 PC due to Pro Tools forcing me to install an outdated and unsupported PACE License Support. That’s what I call service.I want to share with you my nightmare experience attempting to install Pro Tools 11 on my new Windows 10 machine, and share the solution I found, so that anyone in the same boat as I was in can be saved hours of headache and hair-ripping. I did not pull any strings, I used the system as a normal user, and I had a response with 7 minutes of them opening the support line for the day. Thank you to the iLok support team for a very speedy response. When I restarted the computer and restarted iLok License Manager, all was well, I could access my iLok account and my iLok and continue to transfer the other 2 licenses from my account to my iLok. I followed the instructions and ran the script following the instructions each step of the way. The client database on Macintosh will be reset after completing this step. The script should be deleted once this issue has been resolved. Using it to try to resolve another issue may cause undesirable results with your licenses and the iLok License Manager application. IMPORTANT: This script should only be used for this incident. I received a response at 5:07pm UK time - 9:07 am PDT, so 7 minutes after they had started work with an answer, saying…ġ) Download the following file from us: (A Dropbox link was provided for me to download the file) I sent the email at 3:31 pm UK time, which was 7:31am PDT, having noted that iLok support was open from 9am to 5pm PDT. I also provided them with the version of the macOS I was running. Can you help, please? The light on the iLok is lit. ServerUnexpectedException: Caught an exception from a DB query." "An Error Occurred During This Operation. When I run ILM and try and sign in I get one of these error messages. Having searched Google without success, I reached out to iLok support having also worked through their FAQs with finding an answer. One piece of good news is my software including Pro Tools could still see the licenses on my iLok, I just could not manage any of my licenses. I tried restarting the computer, reinstalling iLok License Manage, but to no avail. ServerUnexpectedException: Database commit failed. I then quit the iLok License Manager app and restarted and when I tried to sign in, I got this error message…Īn Error Occured During This Operation.
